Wouldn’t it be great if your child could learn the basics of social dancing – along with essential etiquette skills – and have fun doing it? Manners in Motion® is a program where kids learn partner dancing, social skills, dining etiquette and then get to dance to a live orchestra. The program features an innovative and highly motivating teaching technique.
Social partner dancing and good manners never go out of style!
Directed by Larkspur Dance Coach & Choreographer Cynthia Glinka For the past 11 years, Cynthia has inspired thousands of middle schoolers in the Bay Area. Now she brings a new level of fun, glamour and excitement to classic Cotillion instruction. Sessions are taught in a supportive, non-competitive environment that integrates social group awareness with a sense of style and grace. Let’s Dance!

ATTIRE: Gentlemen Blazer or sport coat, slacks, tie and dress shoes
Ladies Skirt or dress (reasonable length, no strapless tops) and stockings
No flip flops, backless sandals or tennis shoes
COST: $270 Registration is monitored to achieve a balanced number of followers and leaders.
ON THE DANCE FLOOR Students will be coached and rehearsed in popular social dances including the Swing, Fox Trot, Tango, and more, with continuous partner rotation; along with how to ask for and accept a dance, escort a partner to and from the dance floor and how to identify different musical tempos.
DINING DO’S & DON’TS Kids learn table manners as they rehearse and explore the art of dining etiquette and socializing in a formal setting. A three course meal will be served and hosted at The Tavern at Lark Creek, Larkspur.
FAMILIES DANCING TOGETHER Adult family members are invited to join us at 8pm on Nov 9th to learn tips and tricks of social partner dancing, so you can enjoy dancing with your “star” at the Red Carpet Gala.
RED CARPET GALA It’s Showtime! The evening features a buffet and dancing to The Royal Society Jazz Orchestra, featured at Larkspur's Rose Bowl Centennial Celebration. It will be an Opening Night to remember!
Families are invited to join us on the “set” at 8:30pm.
