Bill and Edna
In June of 2008, I had the honor of guiding and assisting Bill (age 88) and his new bride, Edna (age 90) onto the dance for their first dance.
After being confined to a wheel chair for five years, Edna dream of dancing again. After meeting and falling in love with Bill, a student of Cynthia Glinka’s, Edna vowed to dance again. For three months Bill and Edna worked with Cynthia and a physical therapist to prepare Edna for her long awaited dance. The couple took to the dance floor at their wedding reception with Cynthia in the wings.
The three month preparation for this special moment was captured on film by Gatlin Photography and will be released as a short documentary film, coming soon to film festivals in California.
